Joe LaSala Resigns as Woodbridge High School Football Coach

WOODBRIDGE, NJ -- Joe LaSala has tendered his resignation as the head coach of the Woodbridge High School football team.

According to a report from Central Jersey Sports Radio, LaSala informed the school district of his decision on Wednesday and will meet with the football team on Friday.

The coach said that he and his wife just recently welcomed a new daughter into the world.

LaSala, whose father, Ben, will be retiring from his post as the Colonia High School athletic director in June, coached the Barrons for six seasons, over which time they posted a 37-20 record.

Woodbridge had a 6-4 record in 2023, losing to Ridge in the first round of the NJSIAA Section 1, Group 4 playoffs.
