When they got there, they found a man who had been shot. Medical teams tried to help him, but he had already died. The area was marked off as a crime scene, and two people were found who might know what happened.

The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Technician and the Madison County Coroner’s Office also came to the scene. The man was officially declared dead at 11:52 p.m.

Police Chief Brad Wells wants to reassure the community that this incident was not a random act of violence. He says that the people involved knew each other, and it seems to be an isolated event. The police are working to gather more information about this crime.
