Murals in Motion public art project under way in downtown Lake Geneva
LAKE GENEVA — Artists began work Wednesday on the inaugural Murals in Motion outdoor art event in downtown Lake Geneva. The murals will be painted May 15-19, 2024 as part of an artist in residence type of event. Spectators are encouraged t come downtown and watch the process and enjoy other streetside entertainment.
Crystal Lake RV News: Summer Activities Begin At Crystal Lake Village
The weather is getting warmer which means the “Summer Fun” committee is kicking into gear. Our first event for the summer was a Ladies Luncheon organized by Martha Satterlee (where we also invited men to come – just sit at a different table). We had 14 ladies and 2 gentlemen attend. We chose Woody’s Barbeque for our first outing to support a new local business and a great time was had by all. Everyone loved their lunch and some great conversations.
Twin Lakes’ Turtle ‘Shellebration’ Set For May 18

Volo Museum celebrates three years of Jurassic Gardens
Rockford, Ill. (WTVO) — Today is National Dinosaur Day and there is no greater place to celebrate than at the Volo Museum in Volo, Illinois!. Their Jurassic Gardens have a ton of interactive activities including dinosaur mini golf, an interactive sand table, and a drawing table where you can bring your dinosaurs to life.
Eulogy for a good old tree
It’s hard to say if a hummingbird is mourning just by the look on its face, but I think the hummers in my yard this spring are sad about the changes in their neighborhood. That’s because their favorite resting spot, the old purple cherry plum tree in my yard, is gone. It blew down on one of those blustery days in late April, just before the hummers got back in town.
