FULTON – May 10th, 2024, The recent Fulton Common Council Meeting held in New York State paid tribute to Joseph J. Mancino, a well-known and loved member of the community who passed away recently. The resolution of respect was passed to honor Mancino and his many achievements. Born in Syracuse, he was a brilliant student who graduated as the salutatorian of his class at North High. He went on to play college football for the University of Miami. Mancino was famous for his great steaks at the Seneca Motel/Fulton Ale House, which he owned in Fulton for 52 years. He could often be found dancing with his beloved wife, Patty, reminiscing and telling jokes with friends and family. Mancino was also a past President of the Oswego County Tavern Keepers Association and later owned and operated 481 Liquor and Wine. An avid golfer, he participated in many area leagues and tournaments in surrounding counties. He leaves behind his loving wife, Patty Colloca Mancino, his two children, Bert Mancino and Judith Tupper, along with his daughter-in-law Amy DiMetri, grandsons Alex and Andrew Mancino, three great-grandchildren, and several extended family members who he loved very much.
