Maine teen dies following Waldo County crash
LIBERTY, Maine — A teenager involved in a crash in the Waldo County town of Liberty last week has died. Blair Fuller-Barnard, 18, of Montville, died Saturday, according to her mother. At about 3 p.m. Wednesday, Fuller-Barnard was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry on West Main Street when she turned onto Belfast Augusta Road and failed to yield to a Dodge Ram pickup truck headed west and a tractor-trailer headed east, according to the Waldo County Sheriff's Office. Fuller-Barnard and her passenger, 19-year-old Donovan Aldus of Montville, were flown by a medical helicopter to a hospital for treatment. Aldus remains hospitalized with "severe" injuries.
Pedestrian killed after being hit by vehicle in Bangor
BANGOR, Maine — Bangor police are working to reconstruct and investigate a fatal crash with a pedestrian in which a local woman was struck by a vehicle Monday night. Police said the crash occurred around 10 p.m. on Union Street near the Hermon town line. When police arrived, they discovered the body of 22-year-old Bangor resident Gabrielle Pariseau near the roadway.
Waldo County Sheriff's Office asks for public's help in search for missing teen
MORRILL -- The Waldo County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help as they work to locate a missing teenager. 15-year-old Amelia King went missing from her family's home in Morrill. King was last seen around 3 p.m. on Monday wearing a red shirt, black pants, and a backpack.
Unity man arrested for reckless conduct after shooting at Maine Forest ranger
UNITY, Maine — A Unity man is being held at the Waldo County Jail, after officials say he fired at a Forest ranger Monday afternoon. The unidentified Maine Forest ranger reportedly called for back up at 118 Jacy Place in Unity at 1:02 p.m., after two shots were fired, one in his direction. At the time, the ranger was investigating reports of trees that were illegally cut down.
