Mount Tabor High School football star safety being recruited by top colleges

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A Mount Tabor High School football star is one of the top players in the state of North Carolina, and college recruiters are already taking notice.

JaDon Blair just completed his junior season at Mount Tabor. Listed at 6-feet-4-inches tall and weighing 190 pounds, Blair is one of the best safeties in the nation for the Class of 2025, according to 247Sports .

Blair is currently ranked as the 15th-best safety in the country for his class and the 160th-best player by 247Sports . He is the fifth-best player in his class for the state of North Carolina.

While playing free safety during his junior season, Blair recorded 56 total tackles and four interceptions, according to MaxPreps . He recorded three tackles for loss, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble as well.

Blair flashed his ball-hawking skills in a game against Mooresville High School on Nov. 10, 2023.

Blair’s athleticism also popped on the other side of the ball as he was on the receiving end of a long touchdown pass versus Davie County High School on Nov. 3, 2023.

Due to his success on the field thus far, Blair is already being recruited by several colleges to play football.

Blair has taken visits and been offered a scholarship to the following schools, according to 247Sports:

• Florida State University
• University of Lousiville
• University of Michigan
• Notre Dame University
• Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech)
• Pennsylvania State University (Penn State)
• University of South Carolina

Blair has not visited but has been offered a scholarship by the following schools:

• Temple University
• Duke University
• Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech)
• Lousiana State University (LSU)
• University of Maryland
• University of Miami
• Mississippi State University
• North Carolina State University
• University of Tennessee
• Wake Forest University
• West Virginia University
• Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (Alabama A&M)
• University of North Carolina at Charlotte
• East Carolina University
• James Madison University

Blair has yet to commit to any school and could perhaps gain even more offers and climb further up the recruiting rankings with a strong senior season.
