    Grace’s Gibbs twins heading to Marshall basketball

    WINONA LAKE, Ind. (WANE) – Grace College standouts Cade and Jakob Gibbs will play their final season of college basketball on the D1 level, as both will head to Marshall University it was announced on Friday by the Thundering Herd.

    Both Gibbs brothers had an extra year of eligibility due to the 2020-21 COVID season.

    Jakob Gibbs, a 6-foot-5 guard, averaged 13.9 points (second on the team) and 3.1 rebounds a game this past season at Grace. Cade Gibbs, a 6-foot-6 forward, was third on the team with 13.1 points per game while adding 4.7 rebounds a night. The Gibbs twins are from Plainfield, Ind.

    Grace went 32-4 this past season, advancing to the NAIA Final Four. Grace’s Elijah Malone announced this past Monday that he would play next season at the University of Colorado .
