Two incidents occurred in Humboldt County, Nevada this week. In the first incident, a woman was arrested for trespassing and was found in possession of methamphetamine and firearms. The second incident involved four individuals who were arrested for drug-related charges at a home in Winnemucca.
Local Traffic Alert: Nightly Detours on Eastbound I-80 at West Winnemucca Exit 173 Starting Dec. 18 Due to Bridge Repairs
The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will implement overnight detours on eastbound Interstate 80 at West Winnemucca exit 173 starting December 18. This is due to bridge repairs. The detours will occur nightly from December 18 to 21, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Minor delays are expected, but traffic will still flow. The westbound lanes will remain unaffected.

Luke Fentress, a senior at 190 pounds and Jhet Harber, a junior at 175 pounds, each went a perfect 5-0 on the day.

Two incidents occurred in Winnemucca, Nevada this week. The first incident involved a structure fire that broke out late Friday night. The building was unoccupied, and there were no injuries reported. Firefighters battled the fire throughout the night and into Saturday. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. City council sees possible designs for new aquatics center
With 386 surveys collected from the public and multiple focus group sessions held, Knit Studios put together possible designs for a new aquatics center in the City of Winnemucca and presented them to the Winnemucca City Council at their most recent meeting on Nov. 21 (with Mayor Rich Stone, Councilman Mike Owens, and City Attorney Kent Maher absent from the meeting).
Local soup kitchen in need of volunteers to adopt cooking and serving first Wednesday each month
The groups and individuals that put together meals for the local Soup Kitchen, located in the basement of the United Methodist Church on W. Winnemucca Blvd., serve faithfully one night a month and Winnemucca Food Bank Director and Soup Kitchen Coordinator Barbara Sealy explained that the Soup Kitchen is currently looking for volunteers to fill in once a month on the first Wednesday of each month.

Weekly Safety Report: Fatal Car Accident, Drug Arrest, and Missing Person in Nevada County, California
This week in Nevada County, California, there were three notable incidents. Firstly, an 18-year-old man was killed when his car overturned and crashed into a tree on Highway 20 near Grass Valley.
