WINNEMUCCA, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A man wanted for shooting at officers in Idaho died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a police chase in northern Nevada. Just after 4 p.m. on Feb. 20, the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office was contacted by the Nampa Police Department about 25-year-old Anthony Madrid Jr. who ran from officers in Idaho after four separate shooting incidents including firing shots at an officer trying to take him into custody. The Nampa Police Department was involved in a "significant" chase with the suspect before he entered into Nevada, according to police.
