Revitalization brings new fishway, park, pavilion to Danforth
DANFORTH, Maine (WABI) - Some changes are coming to the Town of Danforth. “We had a fabulous committee that did due diligence, researched it very thoroughly, and working with our partners, this is where we’ve landed. I hear nothing but positive responses. We’re in a revitalization phase and what a way to kick it off with this beautiful fishway,” stated Danforth’s Town Manager, Ardis Brown.

Hodgdon had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged the Schenck Wolverines out 8-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hodgdon also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2017.
No. 2 Stearns baseball walks off No. 4 Woodland in extras to win D North final
BANGOR - No. 2 Stearns baseball took home the D North title in dramatic fashion with a 6-5 walkoff win over No. 4 Woodland in nine innings. The Minutemen struck first in the bottom of the first as Emerson Michaud and Caden Raymond scored on an error. Later, a bases-loaded walk made it 3-0. The Dragons then made it 3-2 in the top of the third as Evan MacArthur scored on a fielder's choice and Nolan Sewell scored on a wild pitch.

In March, audience members and online participants were asked to choose the final film in our new film series - SCREEN THOUGHTS, presented by host, Christine Merser. This season’s focus was on America’s Racial Struggles on the Screen, and the audience-selected final film is Spike Lee’s 1989 comedy-drama “Do the Right Thing!”
Fire destroys Millinocket garage, damages nearby houses
MILLINOCKET, Maine (WABI) - 35 firefighters from seven communities spent more than six hours on Friday battling a garage fire in Millinocket that spread to nearby homes. Crews responded to the fire on Medway Road just after 9 a.m. to find a garage to be fully involved, with a number of propane tanks nearby.
