(Hermon) The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the person killed in a rollover crash in Hermon Sunday morning. They say a vehicle driven by 22 yo Matthew Sforza of Hermon went off the road, hit an embankment and a utility pole. The car rolled several times, ejecting Sforza who was not wearing a seat belt. Police say speed and road conditions appear to have been factors in the crash.

A Single Vehicle Crash in Hermon Sunday Leaves 1 Man Dead
One man is dead following a crash in Hermon on Sunday morning. The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says the crash was reported at around 8:00 Sunday morning on Route 2 in Hermon. An investigation into the circumstances of the crash determined that a sedan was traveling toward Hermon village when it left the roadway. The vehicle struck an embankment, a utility pole, and a small business property, rolling over several times before coming to rest.
