Southington man convicted of killing stepfather dies in prison
A former Southington man who was serving thirty years to life in prison for murdering his stepfather and wounding his mother has died from an apparent suicide. An official with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections tells 21 News that 39-year-old Thomas Starr died on Thursday at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility.

A Warren man learned his fate on Tuesday after pleading guilty to his involvement in the shooting death of a man back in September of 2023. Ravenna residents hailed for 'lifesaving' efforts after apartment fire
Two people who helped their neighbors as a fire ravaged their Hazen Avenue apartment building were recognized for their lifesaving efforts.
