There will be a public hearing on a de-annexation during the Monroe city council meeting Tuesday
The City of Monroe will have its June 2024 meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 in Council Chamber, Monroe City Hall located at 215 N Broad Street. The meeting will include a public hearing on a de-annexation of property on Highway 78 and another on a variance request for 802 North Broad Street. Ag Experience Mobile Classroom will be at Monroe-Walton Library
Games, crafts and live goats on Wednesday and Thursday. The Monroe-Walton Library will have the Georgia Ag Experience Mobile Classroom from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday and Thursday this week, June 12 and 13th. Attendees will experience games, crafts and live goats. All ages are welcome and everyone is invited to come either one day or both days.

Earthquake Shakes Atlanta, Georgia Suburbs
According to USGS, an earthquake struck late Thursday north and east of Atlanta, prompting more than 150 people to go to their website to report that they felt shaking in Georgia. The magnitude 2.5 earthquake struck from a depth of 4.1 km near the town of Buford at 11:15 pm. While shaking was felt throughout the area, there were no reports of any damage or injuries.

The regular City Council Meeting and voting session will follow on Thursday, June, 13, 2023. The Loganville City Council work session for June 2024 will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 in Council Chambers at Loganville City Hall located at 4303 Lawrenceville Road.
