Gwinnett County police search for missing 13-year-old boy
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police in Gwinnett County need the public’s help in finding a missing 13-year-old boy who was last seen on Wednesday evening. According to the police, Noel Tapia was last seen around 5:30 p.m. leaving through the back door of his house. He was seen at the intersection of Scenic Highway and Sugarloaf Highway around 7:30 p.m., police say.

A strong thunderstorm is expected to affect northwestern DeKalb, west central Gwinnett, and east central Fulton Counties until 7:00 PM EDT. The storm was detected over Peachtree Corners at 6:35 PM EDT, moving southwest at a speed of 15 mph. The hazards from the storm include wind speeds of 40 to 50 mph, pea-sized hail, and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning. Although radar indicated these hazards, the impact may result in minor damage to tree limbs and unsecured objects being blown around. The locations that will be impacted include Peachtree Corners, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Dunwoody, Duluth, Lilburn, Chamblee, Norcross, Doraville, Berkeley Lake, Tucker, North Decatur, North Atlanta, and Mechanicsville. The maximum hail size will be 0.25 inches, and the maximum wind gust will be 50 mph.
