Missing Frederick County man found

UPDATE: According to Virginia State Police, Davis has been found safe.

FREDERICK COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police has issued a critically missing adult alert on behalf of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office for a missing 79-year-old man.

According to Virginia State Police, 79-year-old Edgar McArthur Davis was last seen at around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 on North Frederick Pike in Winchester wearing a long-sleeve burgundy plaid shirt, blue jeans, black leather boat shoes and a blue trucker cap.

Davis is described as a white man with white hair and brown eyes who stands about 5-feet-11-inches and weighs around 127 pounds. Davis may be driving a silver 2008 Volvo S60 with Virginia tags 6359VV.

Davis’ disappearance poses a credible threat to his safety, according to state police, anyone with information related to his whereabouts is asked to call the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office at 540-662-6162.
