The Wilsonville softball team earned a run-rule victory on the road over Parkrose on Wednesday, cruising past the Broncos 16-0 in just four innings.

The top of the fourth inning proved to be the pivotal frame for the Wildcats, as senior Callie Weaving, senior Grace Wilson, junior Sadie Hibbard, and sophomore Sophia Vega each recorded RBI doubles while Wilsonville scored a whopping 12 runs to extend its lead to 16-0.

In total, the Wildcats recorded seven hits during the fourth, extending their lead beyond 15 to induce the run rule.

Ultimately, Parkrose couldn’t respond in the bottom of the frame despite producing just its second base-runner of the ballgame.

Sophomore Paige Hibbard was dominant in the circle for Wilsonville, recording four strikeouts on her way to a complete-game shutout.

With the win, the Wildcats improved to 12-8 on the season and 8-1 in Northwest Oregon Conference play, maintaining their hold atop the league standings as the No. 7 team in the 5A classification.

Meanwhile, Parkrose fell to 0-16 and 0-8.
