    Patricia Arnold Stronach, 79, of Wilson, died Thursday, May 2, 2024.

    Funeral, Wednesday, 11:00 AM, St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 202 N. Goldsboro Street, followed by a reception at the church. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1606 Stronwood Drive, Tuesday, 5 – 7 PM.

    She was born Patricia Jean Arnold on April 8, 1945 to Roy Hubert and Mary Gagen Arnold.

    Pat attended Auburn University and was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She received an A.B. degree in English from Georgia State University. She moved to Wilson, NC after marriage and continued teaching high school English at Charles H. Darden High School and Greenfield School. Pat devoted much of her time volunteering in local organizations; she served as President and Chairman of the Board of the Wilson Crisis Center for several years and volunteered extensively for the Wilson Arts Council.

    Pat was a lifelong reader and longstanding member of The Book Club of Wilson North Carolina. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her yard and at the St. Timothy's Memorial Garden. She remained active throughout her life especially looking forward to daily morning walks with her close friends.

    She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Samuel Clark Stronach; sons Samuel Clark Stronach, Jr, and William Arnold Stronach (Kathie); her sister Teresa Patterson (Reyn), brother Roy Arnold (Kris) and grandchildren Alice Stronach, Will Stronach and Philip Stronach.

    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be directed to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, PO Box 1527, Wilson, NC 27894-1527.
