Whether you're looking for a concert or to explore a nationally recognized speakeasy this weekend, we've got you covered.

Hi there, I'm Andre Lamar, your buddy for giving you the lowdown on cool activities in and around the First State. Here's the latest DO Delaware newsletter, which highlights some can't-miss entertainment events you'll want to dive into.

Sean Chambers brings blues to Smyrna

Sean Chambers isn't a black-and-white kind of guy because he's all about the blues (and rock). The Florida native dropped his debut album in 1998, "Strong Temptation," and it was influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan's playing style. Over 20 years later, the guitar-wielding Chambers released his latest studio album in 2021, "That's What I'm Talkin' About," a project where he pays homage to his buddy and mentor Hubert Sumlin.

Chambers recently formed a new band that features former Savoy Brown members Pat DeSalvo (bass) and Garnet Grimm (drums).

Smyrna Opera House (7 W. South St., Smyrna) at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 26. Tickets are $25-$45. Visit smyrnaoperahouse.org or call (302) 653-4236.

Delaware Symphony Orchestra takes center stage

Maestro David Amado will tackle the epic music of Mahler in a show that culminates the Delaware Symphony Orchestra's season. The highlights are Mahler’s Symphony No. 7 “Song of the Night.” This composition shows Mahler’s ability to think out of the box with instruments that are rare in symphonic literature like the mandolin, guitar and tenor horn.

The Grand (818 N. Market St., Wilmington) at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 26. Tickets are $25-$90. Visit delawaresymphony.org or call (302) 656-7442.

Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers & The Band tributes

They've managed to fit three tributes into one show with The Grateful Allman Band Experience. This concert offers music from the legendary Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers and The Band. The lineup includes members from some of the best bands in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The Queen (500 N. Market St., Wilmington) at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 27. Tickets are $12 (plus fees). Visit thequeenwilmington.com or call (302) 400-7020.

Explore cool speakeasy in Philly

This Esquire-approved bar is none other than Andra Hem in the City of Brotherly Love. This Scandinavian-inspired cocktail lounge looks like a posh hideout where James Bond would kill some time. The menu is full of old classic cocktails that include the Bee's Knees. The cocktail program is designed by Patrick Jennings. There also are food options including potato pancakes, charcuterie and cake.

218 S. 16th St., Philadelphia; open Wednesday through Saturday, 4 p.m. to midnight. Visit andrahem.com or call (215) 545-0823.
