WILLIAMSTON, S.C. (WSPA) – The Anderson School District One Board of Trustees announced the name of the new elementary school expected to open in Fall 2026.

The district received input from parents and the community, which resulted in 93 names being submitted, several of which included “Oak” in the name.

“We are very pleased that the school board has agreed to name our new school ‘Oak Hill
Elementary,’” said Superintendent Robbie Binnicker. “This is a very fitting name that honors the
former school located not far from the site of the new school as well as the students that once
    attended.

The school will be located at 250 Oak Road in Piedmont.
