    Inmate bites staff at Lycoming County Prison

    Williamsport, Pa. — A 23-year-old inmate at the Lycoming County Prison bit a correctional officer causing an injury.

    Aaron Joel Snyder, 23, was taken to the ground in March when he attempted to injure himself while in custody, Detective Stephen Sorage said. Snyder allegedly bit the hand of an officer during the incident.

    The bite broke skin causing injury to the officer, according to the complaint.

    Snyder is being charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault by a prisoner. Both are felonies.

    Snyder is being held on $75,000 monetary bail.
