Girlz in the Hoodie to host benefit concert featuring Rehab

Williamsport, Pa. — Local non-profit organization Girlz in the Hoodie is hosting a special Benefit Concert Series featuring live-music from the band "Rehab."

The event is being organized in collaboration with The Bar on Market and New Trail Brewing Company. The concert will be held at The Side Bar in downtown Williamsport on Sunday, May 12, coinciding with Mother's Day.

Rehab, known for their hit song "Bartender Song (Sittin' at a Bar)," will be making a one-night-only stop in Williamsport as part of their national tour.

Girlz in the Hoodie, founded in 2016 by Williamsport residents Chrissy Heinbach and Anthony Mussare, aims to provide comfort to women undergoing breast cancer treatments and post-mastectomies.

The event's timing on Mother's Day serves as an opportunity to honor and celebrate the strength of mothers who are survivors, those currently fighting breast cancer, and those who have sadly passed away.

Their signature zip-up hoodies offer warmth, easy access to treatment ports, and convenience for patients. The organization also supports affected households through a $1,000 scholarship awarded to local graduating seniors whose guardian or mother is a breast cancer survivor, currently battling breast cancer, or has lost the fight against the disease.

In addition to providing comfort through their trademarked hoodies, Girlz in the Hoodie continues to make a positive impact by offering educational scholarships and organizing various fundraisers.

One of their upcoming events will feature a VW Bus Raffle Fundraiser featuring multiple chances to win, including the choice of a newly remodeled pink VW 1975 Kombi Bus or a cash prize of $50,000.

General entry tickets are priced at $40, while VIP Meet & Greet tickets, offering access to a private lounge and bar before the show, are available for $100.
