Williamsport, Pa. — A man who was out on bail cut off his ankle monitor and refused to turn himself in when police contacted him, charges say.

Harry Bell, 41, of Williamsport cut off the monitor and hung up on officers on March 19, Officer Nicholas Carrita said. Bell was charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors over two previous cases.

Bell initially told police he was at a laundromat on the east side of Williamsport, according to the complaint. Officers attempted to locate Bell without any luck, Carrita added.

Bell was scheduled to appear for a bail revocation hearing in March with President Judge Nancy Butts. He failed to show up to court, arrest papers say.

Bell is being charged with flight to avoid apprehension and default in required appearance. His bail is set at $50,000 monetary.
