    Wichita Falls ISD offering free meals to kids, teens this summer

    WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — The Wichita Falls Independent School District will once again ensure local teens and children continue to have access to food over the summer months.

    WFISD officials announced the district will participate in the Summer Food Service Program, offering fresh, balanced and delicious meals for free over the summer.

    WFISD NEWS: School board votes on district’s middle school plan for 2025-26

    WFISD’s Summer Meals are open to all children and teens aged 18 and under at no cost. No enrollment is necessary, and no paperwork needs to be filled out beforehand.

    Breakfast and lunch will be served for all students at no charge at the following locations and times:

    McNiel Middle School

    • June 3, 2024 — June 13, 2024 (Monday thru Thursday)
    • Breakfast — 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
    • Lunch — Noon until 12:45 p.m.

    Scotland Park Elementary

    • June 3, 2024 — July 26, 2024 (Monday thru Friday)
    • Breakfast — 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
    • Lunch — 11 a.m. until noon

    Jefferson Elementary

    • June 3, 2024 — July 26, 2024 (Monday thru Friday)
    • Breakfast — 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
    • Lunch — 11 a.m. until noon

    Booker T. Washington Elementary

    • June 3, 2024 — July 26, 2024 (Monday thru Friday)
    • Breakfast — 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
    • Lunch — 11 a.m. until noon
    WFISD NEWS: School board votes on UIL homeschool participation

    WFISD officials said that meals may be picked up at whichever location is most convenient, regardless of where a student is currently enrolled. All meal sites will be closed in observance of national holidays.

    Menus for the meals being provided at the above WFISD schools this summer can be found online . Community members are encouraged to contact the Child Nutrition Office at (940) 235-1065 with any questions.
