    Beat the heat and the summer blues with Camp Fire’s summer day camp

    WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Pack up the sunscreen and bug spray for a week of outdoor summer fun with Camp Fire during its Outdoor Day Camp.

    Camp Fire North Texas has opened registration for three weeklong sessions of its outdoor day camp, suitable for children in first through eighth grade.

    Cinco de Mayo festivities continue this weekend

    Parents can send their kids to camp during three sessions:

    • June 10-14
    • June 17-21
    • June 24-28

    Registration is $150 per child per week and spots are limited.

    During camp, children will receive breakfast and lunch, morning swim lessons, afternoon free-swim, and various activities such as outdoor skills, nature walks and arts-and-crafts.

    Camp drop-off begins at 8 a.m.—early drop-off is 7:45 a.m.—and pickup is at 4:15 p.m. All registrations are final and there are no refunds after payment is received.

    The day camp is still seeking junior counselors and other volunteers.
