    Three buildings damaged in overnight structure fire on 11th Street

    WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — At least three structures were damaged in a fire on 11th Street early Wednesday morning.

    Assistant Fire Marshal Eddie Mawson said the WFFD responded to the fire at 12:18 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in the 2000 block of 11th Street.

    The first units on scene saw heavy fire at the front of the structure and began a quick attack.

    The fire caused heavy damage to the structure, amounting to an estimated $30,000. The estimated cost of the damage to the contents of the house was $3,000.

    Houses on both sides of the structure also sustained damage. The damage to the neighboring homes is $5,000 each.

    Oncor was called to the scene to remove power. It is not known if any people were inside of the house at the time of the fire, but it did have working electricity and water.

    At this time, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
