UNION, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Union Police Department said a man has been charged after breaking and entering into an old school building. According to an incident report, on April 17 around 6 p.m., officers were called to the old building for Sims Jr. High School, located on Sims Drive, in reference to a man breaking into the school.

A woman was arrested on Friday after an alleged incident of child abuse at a Laurens daycare was reported to the Laurens Police Department. On May 1, officers with the Laurens Police Department received a report of an alleged incident of child abuse at the Tender Loving Care Child Development Center (TLC) located at 1405 West Main Street in Laurens. After an investigation revealed video evidence substantiating the allegations of abuse, an arrest warrant for Unlawful Conduct Toward a Child was issued for Salathia Guest, a 27-year-old female, who was a newly-hired employee of the daycare facility.
