    Massachusetts man becomes first winner in Lions Share instant game

    WHITMAN, Mass. (WWLP) – A Whitman man has become the first $4 million prize winner in the Massachusetts Lottery’s new “$4,000,000 Lion’s Share” $10 instant ticket game.

    According to the Massachusetts Lottery, Jason Coulstring of Whitman chose to receive his winnings in the form of a one-time payment of $2,600,000, before taxes. Coulstring plans to purchase a new car for his wife and to do some home improvements.

    The ticket was purchased at Route 18 Super Store on Washington Street in Abington. The retailer will receive a $40,000 bonus for the sale of this ticket.

    The “$4,000,000 Lion’s Share” ticket was launched on April 16, and there are two $4 million grand prizes and five $1 million grand prizes remaining to be claimed.
