Troup City Council approves grant offering free pet vaccines, microchips for residents
TROUP, Texas (KLTV) - People living in Troup can get their pets up-to-date on vaccinations for free thanks to a new agreement approved Wednesday by Troup City Council. According to the City of Troup, each resident can have up to three of their pets vaccinated for rabies, spayed/neutered, and microchipped at no cost. The funds are covered by a grant from Dehart Veterinary Services as part of “The No Strays Project.” The vouchers can be picked up at City Hall during normal business hours, but residents will need to provide proof of residence. They can either show a City of Troup Utility bill that shows the name of the resident, provide a current lease agreement, or a statement from their landlord.
