CENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) — The Dust Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service in Lincoln has now expired for Central Illinois. Until rain and winds settle, Illinois State Police said I-55 near McLean and I-74 near LeRoy will both remain closed. Drivers are urged to either stay vigilant or avoid traveling entirely to stay as safe as possible.
Thirsty Thursday: Seven of Limes at Avionics
This warm week in Champaign-Urbana, I was thirsty for something cold and refreshing: the Seven of Limes at Avionics. This brand-new drink ($6.38) tasted fantastic: a bright and deliciously funky iced tea. It had oolong and hibiscus tea with black-lime syrup over ice. I loved the drink’s strong tea flavor and the gentle floral accent of hibiscus. Black limes are dried limes, and the uncommon ingredient added a lovely sour-sweet to the drink. Not too sweet, Avionics’ Seven of Limes was brilliantly refreshing.
