Wheeling works to become “entertainment central” for the region

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — Wesbanco Arena and Capitol Theatre are gearing up for another year filled with some of the best entertainment around.

Wheeling’s top entertainment venues recently announced four more shows that will be coming to the Friendly City this Fall and there is something for everyone to enjoy.

On September 29 at Capitol Theatre, you can see William Shatner Live on Stage with a screening of Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan. Also, at Capitol Theatre on October 22 Little Feat will be in town with special guest Duane Betts.

The next day, October 23, the popular rock band, Godsmack will be live at WesBanco Arena.

For those looking for something for the kids, the Disney Junior Let’s Play Tour will make a stop at Capitol Theatre on October 30.

”That’s absolutely you know why the team is working so hard on every aspect to, you know, make wheeling the entertainment central, you know, for the entire region. I mean, we did a show last night at the theater and we saw fans coming from New Jersey, Maryland. So Wheeling, we’re making that a destination now for entertainment and that is the goal.”
