Local organization hosts an Afternoon of Tea with Friends

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — A special group of talented women gathered on Tuesday in Wheeling to enjoy an elegant tea party with each other.

The Advocates for the Rights of Citizens hosted its Afternoon Tea with Friends Tuesday at Waterfront Hall with some help from Enchanted Parties by Carrie.

ARC hosts an annual talent show each year and the performers from the show were invited to the event Tuesday to get to know each other better.

The party included tea, sandwiches, desserts, and plenty of photo opportunities.

One of the volunteers for the organization shares just how special it is to highlight these beautiful and talented people.

”This is just so special because I’ve just known a lot of these girls for a long time and it just really touches my heart to see them thriving in the community and our community evolving, becoming more acceptive to just their abilities.”
