Wheeling Miners celebrate Mother’s Day with a special home game on Sunday

Wheeling, W.Va. (WTRF) – Mother’s Day is this Sunday, and if you’re looking for some great family fun, why not grab a ticket to the Friendly City’s most exciting new event.

The Wheeling Miners Indoor Football team will be hitting the field at WesBanco Arena for their 3rd home game, and this one is dedicated to all the moms out there and everything they do for us.

Miners Defensive End Javin Jones says the team is hitting their stride.

He says this area is crazy about football, and he can’t imagine a better place to play than right here in the Ohio Valley.

“It is the most energetic, best thing that I’ve had as far as a fan experience. And then we sign autographs for all the kids, very, very family friendly environment. They do a great job of setting up certain pieces for all of the kids to not just enjoy the game but to be a part of it.”

Jones also wanted to give his own mom a special shout-out while he was at the 7NEWS Studio.

The game will be on Sunday at 4:00pm.
