WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — Temple Shalom serves up something sweet during their 32nd Annual Chocolate Extravaganza.

Guests could try samples from over a dozen chocolatiers, caterers and candy factories, try their hand at the cake raffle or win on of the 50 door prize giveaways.

Rabbi Joshua Leif, rabbi at Temple Shalom Wheeling, says that it is a wonderful opportunity to welcome people into this house of worship and raise money that further helps the community.

“Feeding the hungry, helping the homeless, healing the sick, all the active work we do out in the wider Wheeling community, the chocolate extravaganza helps to fund all of that work the rest of the year.”

Rabbi Joshua Lief, rabbi at Temple Shalom Wheeling

“Everybody from the community comes, young people, older people, people from different congregations, kids, it’s wonderful.”

    Shari McPhail, Temple Shalom President

Rabbi Lief says that he is excited to host this long-standing tradition every year as Temple Shalom is the only Jewish congregation in Wheeling and the oldest synagogue in West Virginia.
