Downtown construction inspiration of Ogden Wellness Weekend: Tough As Nails Urban Challenge

WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) — The Ogden Wellness Weekend is approximately three weeks away.

7News takes a look at the Tough As Nails Urban Challenge presented by The Health Plan.

That five-mile course will place twenty obstacles in the path of hundreds of runners.

They’ll have a bridge crossing over a swimming pool.

There’s a slip-and-slide at the top of the Intermodal parking garage.

And then, there’s our WTRF obstacle, guaranteed to drive you right up a wall.

Setting up this year’s obstacle course ran into a lot of, well, obstacles.

Most of them, orange.

There’s a lot of construction going on downtown and throughout the region really. And so we’re building on that theme and one of our obstacles is a Conquer The Cones obstacle that will be a little maze that participants have to get through this year.”

The WTRF obstacle, along the waterfront, will be no day at the beach.
