WES puts on career week
Career Week was held recently at Wiscasset Elementary School. Students and staff explored the world of work in many different ways. For example, each class was to have a guest speaker who would share about their work and career. Kids were hearing from a Navy pilot, a sloth zookeeper, a former FBI agent, and the pitching coach for the Portland Sea Dogs, among others.

George Chase elected as Edgecomb selectman
George Chase has added another title to his collection. In the past year, Chase has served as Edgecomb’s code enforcement officer and school committee member. On May 17, he became a selectman. Chase defeated Timothy Harrington, 92-7, in the municipal election. Chase resigned as CEO and school committee member prior to Friday’s election.
