    Weston warns of people impersonating city-hired contractors

    WESTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — A notice from the City of Weston says that there have been reports of people pretending to be contracted by the city to gain entry to property owners’ buildings.

    The notice, which was posted on the city’s official Facebook page , said that the people claimed to be contracted by the city to “remove items and belongings from the buildings.”

    “These individuals are not contracted by, nor are they employees of, nor do they represent the city in any way,” the post said.

    The notice said anyone who is contacted by people pretending to be contacted by the city should call 911 and report it.
