This Historic South Carolina Factory Has Been Transformed Into A Thriving Artisan Village
A two-story bank vault sits inside an old South Carolina textile mill. Today, couples celebrate weddings and big parties right beside its heavy doors. That vault still shows off its original brick and steel, which feels delightfully dramatic for a party. It shares the property with a rage room, artist studios, creative workshops, and a model train station.

ChristmasFest 2026 Applications are Now Open
Applications are now open for the 2026 Festival of Trees, says Samantha Mitchell, Marketing and Special Events Coordinator for the City of Toccoa and Main Street Toccoa. “We invite businesses, civic groups, schools, individuals, families, and non-profit organizations to participate by decorating a Christmas Tree and showcasing their creativity and holiday spirit. Trees must be completely decorated between December 1-3, during office hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Festival of Trees will be located at 37 West Tugalo Street in Downtown Toccoa. The public is invited to view the trees and cast their votes on Friday, December 4, during ChristmasFest from 5-9 p.m. Voting tickets will be available for $1 each. There will be cash prizes for the top three winners. First place $500, second place $200, and third place $100, and this is a great opportunity to show off your creativity, represent your business or organization, and help bring the Christmas Spirit to Downtown Toccoa. Applications are available now at mainstreettoccoa.com, and we look forward to seeing all of the beautiful trees and celebrating the Christmas season with our community during ChristmasFest on December 4.”
