Suspects arrested in connection with multiple Baltimore County carjackings
DUNDALK, MD—Police have arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery and multiple carjackings in Baltimore County. Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have arrested Jaiven Ross, 18, and Alexander Rodriguez, 18, in connection with four attempted and two-armed carjackings that occurred in the Dundalk area this week.

Fire breaks out at lumber company in Reisterstown
BALTIMORE -- Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at a building materials supplier in Reisterstown early Friday morning, Baltimore County Fire Department said. Crews responded to the blaze shortly before 4 a.m. to the Reisterstown Lumber Company on the 13000 block of Old Hanover Road, where they found a building with a "well involved" fire. Officials said that good progress had been made fighting the fire as of 5 a.m.WJZ has learned the fire is at a manufacturing facility that builds roof trusses. No injuries have been reported. (WBFF) — The Baltimore County Police Department, in partnership with Hyundai and neighboring law enforcement agencies, is partnering to provide anti-theft software upgrades to Hyundai owners with vehicles manufactured between 2011 and 2022 with a turn-key ignition. According to the department, in addition to the free upgrade, each owner will be offered a steering wheel lock as an extra layer of security.

Local Heroics: 175th Wing Fire Department and BCoFD Rescue Senior Citizen from Icy Waters at Safe Harbor Marina
On December 1, 2023, a 65-year-old man was rescued from icy waters near Martin State Air National Guard Base. The Maryland Air National Guard's 175th Wing and the Baltimore County Fire Department (BCoFD) worked together on the rescue. The man was found in a hypothermic state at Safe Harbor Marina in Bowleys Quarters, Maryland. Firefighters and rescue swimmers from BCoFD Station 21 successfully extracted him from the water and provided initial care before transferring him to BCoFD Medic 54 for hospital transportation.
