Annual Misquamicut Beer & Wine Tasting Raises Funds
The Wine Store hosted its third annual Craft Beer & Wine Tasting at Winnapaug Inn in Westerly on March 8. Suppliers and distributor representatives were on hand to pour tastes of fine wine and craft beer selections in the venue’s adjacent banquet facility, Venice Restaurant. Guests enjoyed food catered by the Venice team and danced to live music from blues band Ed Peabody and The Big Blue Thang and special guests Sugar Ray Norcia and Bobby Christina. Proceeds from the event benefited the efforts of the Misquamicut Business Association, a nonprofit led by local business owners whose mission is to promote events and maintain the Misquamicut Beach area, including the Road and Beach Area Cleanup Crew, as well as family beach events.
