ABILENE, Texas (BCH Sports) – The 2024 softball season is over, and it’s time to honor the top teams in the Big Country. The Abilene High Lady Eagles are the Class 5A/4A team of the year for 2024. The Lady Eagles started slow in district play and were the fourth seed in the district in the playoffs. However, they ended up advancing to the fourth round of the postseason for the first time since 2003.
