    On the right foot: Monday's MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five high school athletes

    That's how you start off the week right. These Fantastic Five (plus one) MetroWest and Milford-area high school athletes didn't suffer from a case of the Mondays.

    They led their teams to victory with clutch performances and monster numbers . Without further ado, the Fantastic Five from Monday, April 29:

    ANTHONY ALICEA, Medway baseball

    He had two hits and an RBI, including a walk off single in the bottom of the eighth to deliver the Mustangs a 10-9 win over Holliston. Medway's Garrett O'Mara tripled among his two hits and drove in three runs, while Aidan Tkowski had two hits and an RBI. Holliston's Sam Schoenberg tripled among his two hits and had three RBIs. Ty Bosselman and Arav Parjapati contributed two RBIs each for Holliston, while Brad Andreola tripled and scored three runs.

    FINN BELL, Wayland boys volleyball

    He slammed home 22 kills with eight digs and three aces in a 3-1 win over St. John's (Shrewsbury). Joey Burke distributed 35 assists to go along with six digs and five kills for the Warriors (6-3), who won 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-19. Wayland's Joe Kelly added eight kills and two aces.

    PENELOPE DESJARDINS, Westborough softball

    She doubled three times among her four hits and had seven RBIs in an 18-11 win over Shrewsbury. Laura Rice scored five runs and was 5-for-5 for Westborough (5-5, 2-2 Mid-Wach A).

    DYLAN FISCHER, Westborough baseball

    The junior needed just 58 pitches to throw a shutout in a 5-0 win over Shrewsbury. Fischer also singled and added an RBI. Brenan Martel scored two runs and was 2-for-4 for Westborough (4-6).

    KENNY KALVINEK, Bellingham boys track and field

    He won both the shot put at 47 feet, 11 inches and the discus (143-5), as the Blackhawks swept Bay Path and Assabet 97-39 and 97-34, respectively. Kalvinek holds the school record for the shot put.

    ANDREW KLAY, Ashland boys lacrosse

    He celebrated his birthday with a big day in a 17-3 win over Dedham. Klay poured in five goals with four assists for the Clockers (3-5, 3-5 Tri-Valley League).

    Baseball

    HUDSON 9, Fitchburg 1: Chris Aucoin (six strikeouts) and Braeden Murphy (Five strikeouts) combined for a two-hitter for the Hawks (6-4). Murphy drove in two runs with two singles, and Caeden O'Brien had two hits for Hudson.

    AMSA 7, Blackstone Valley Tech 5: Ioannis Kamobosos drove in three runs, and Michael Domino scored three for the Eagles (4-3, 3-1 Colonial). Alex Vosburg was 2-for-3 with a three-run homer for the Beavers (8-2, 3-1). BVT's Luke Charron added two hits.

    TRI-COUNTY 7, Wareham 2: Dylan Maws struck out seven and earned the win on the mound and drove in two runs at the plate for the Cougars (5-1). Tri-County's Ray Evans also stroked two hits.

    LINCOLN-SUDBURY 11, Cambridge Rindge and Latin 1 (5): Freshman Liam Gregg struck out three in four innings of work, allowing just a hit to earn his first varsity win for the Warriors (7-3, 3-1 Dual County League). L-S senior Jake Haarde homered among his two hits and added two RBIs. Matt Mahoney also homered and had three RBIs for the Warriors. L-S' Connor Hamond had three hits including a double and two RBIs, and Cooper Tarantino doubled twice, scoring two runs with an RBI. Garrett Mahoney touched home three times on a 2-for-2 day and added an RBI.

    MANSFIELD 1, Franklin 0: Austin Campbell threw all eight innings for the Panthers, striking out 13 and allowing just four hits and a run in the hard-luck loss. Franklin's Sean Kryzak went 2-for-3, and Rex Cinelli added a hit for Franklin.

    NORTH MIDDLESEX 12 Marlborough 7: Michael Benway doubled three times and drove in three runs, scoring two for the Panthers. Marlborough's Ryan Dillon homered among his two hits and had two RBIs.

    HOPKINTON 18, Millis 1 (5): Dylan Ruff had five RBIs and three hits for the Hillers. Hopkinton's Nick Pedroli doubled among his three hits and added an RBI while scoring two runs. Hillers starter Jack Arthur allowed just one hit over three innings with five strikeouts.

    HOPEDALE 5, Nipmuc 4: Sam Dalpe tied the game in the seventh with a safety squeeze, and Brady Wajda won the game an inning later with a walk-off single for the Blue Raiders (9-2, 5-0 Dual Valley). Brayden Lewis (3-for-4, double, two runs) and Evan McCall (single, double, three RBIs, run) also contributed for Hopedale. Sean Burchard led Nipmuc (5-4, 3-1) with three hits.

    ST. PAUL 1, Algonquin 0: Algonquin's Preston Cote struck out 12 and walked one over five two-hit innings, and Quinn Salvi didn't give up a hit over two innings of relief for the Titans (4-5).

    KEEFE TECH 8, Monty Tech 7: Chris Anastos drove in Donny Braley with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10thinning for the Broncos (2-5, 1-3 Colonial).

    ASHLAND 3, Dover-Sherborn 0: Chris Bratica struck out nine and allowed just two hits on the mound, shutting out the Raiders. Ty Letichevsky went 2-for-3 and scored a run for Ashland (5-4).

    BELLINGHAM 5, Norwood 1: Josh Brouchard doubled among his three hits ands cored twice for the Blackhawks (7-3). Bellingham's John Sullivan an Ben Maiorano had two RBIs each.

    HUDSON 13, Clinton 2: Alyssa Davis was 3-for-4 for the Hawks (6-3). Hudson's Lauren O'Malley homered, while Audrey Lenox and Taylor Attaway contributed two hits each.

    NORWOOD 12, Bellingham 8: Trista Corshia was 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Blackhawks (2-7, 1-6 TVL) . She also struck out four in three innings on the mound.

    MILTON 11, Framingham 6: Chloe Nestor was 3-for-4 with a homer for the Flyers, while Riley Kiklis drove in a run on a 2-for-4 day. Framingham pitcher Kayla Goodridge struck out five over five innings.

    LINCOLN-SUDBURY 21, Cambridge Rindge & Latin 0 (5): Lia Mazzocchi struck out 10 and allowed just two hits over five innings in a shutout. Ashleigh Lent and Nicole Lent each doubled for the Warriors (9-0). L-S' Abby Venis and Danielson tripled, while Grace Messina launched an inside the park home run. All 14 Warriors reached base at least once.

    BAY PATH 6, Assabet 1: Megan O'Leary had two hits, including a double, for Assabet (1-4, 0-3 Colonial).

    AMSA 5, Blackstone Valley Tech 4: Ava McLeod struck out seven and delivered the walk-off hit on a 3-for-3 day for the Eagles (7-1, 3-0 Colonial). Arihana Mercado drove in two runs for the Beavers (3-5, 2-2).

    HOPEDALE 5, Nipmuc 4: Layden MacDonald (2-for-3) singled and took second on an error to lead off the bottom of the seventh, then scored on a double to left by Phoebe Carroll (2-for-3) for the Blue Raiders (8-1, 5-0 Dual Valley Conference). Hopedale tied the game with two outs in the sixth on a two-run homer to right by Kelsey Evans. Keegan Kelley homered for Nipmuc (8-1, 4-1).

    ALGONQUIN 23, Fitchburg 7: Jessilyn Baez homered and had three RBIs, Gianna Esposito clubbed three hits and Hannah Dunleavy gathered three hits and four RBIs to lift the Titans in Game 1.

    ALGONQUIN 12, Fitchburg 7: Phoebe Lefebvre belted a three-run homer, Emily Ruiz had seven strikeouts and connected for three hits and Camille Mainville had two hits for the Titans (4-5, 3-4 Mid-Wach B).

    MARLBOROUGH 13, North Middlesex 4: Erin Seder (2-for-3, three RBIs, two runs) and Catherine Seay (2-for-4, four RBIs, three runs) homered for the Panthers (6-4, 4-3 Mid-Wach B).

    WELLESLEY 10, Weymouth 2: Olivia Ackerman doubled twice and had two RBIs for the Raiders (6-4). Wellesley's Elizabeth McDonnell punched out 13 batters.

    HOPKINTON 8, Millis 4: Caroline Ozmun tripled on a 2-for-3 day, while Zoey Adams added three hits for the Hillers (7-4). Hopkinton's Addy Walls struck out seven across three scoreless innings.

    MEDWAY 5, Holliston 4: Allison Fagan had two hits and threw two innings of relief for the Mustangs (5-3).

    Boys lacrosse

    AMSA 15, Monty Tech 0: Hunter Hatstat and Dylan Repassy each had their first career goals for the Eagles (8-0, 3-0 Colonial) , while Chace Lozano collected his first varsity point with an assist. AMSA's Luc Masse and Andrew McCabe each tallied three times with an assist. Connor Hume and Owen Cormier combined for the shutout.

    BLACKSTONE VALLEY 18, Shepherd Hill 7: Nick Valoras (3 assists) and Jamie Nelson each scored five goals for the Beavers (7-1).

    DOVER-SHERBORN 18, Holliston 9: Wyatt Pastore poured in six goals, and Henry Fowler had five goals and four assists for the Raiders (6-4). Dover-Sherborn's Grant Sullivan had four goals and three assists.

    Girls lacrosse

    WESTBOROUGH 13, Oakmont 3: Lilly Villaflor had four goals and five draw controls for the Rangers (9-2). Westborough's Mackenzie Gate netted a hat trick, while Taylor Payne distributed three assists.

    ASHLAND 11, Dedham 1: Paige Tripp distributed seven assists for the Clockers (8-2, 6-2 TVL). Ashland's Anna Magennis scored four goals with an assist, while Morgan Dubanowitz had a hat trick. Payten Tripp, Maggie Magennis, Julia Schreiber and Emma Chapman each found the net once for the Clockers, while Alannah Duffy made five saves.

    TYNGSBOROUGH 20, Marlborough 3: Ella Hobin scored two goals for the Panthers (1-7).

    Boys volleyball

    BELLINGHAM 3, Dighton-Rehoboth 2: Zach Manteganiput downed 13 kills for the Blackhawks (4-5). He also added eight digs and an ace in the 18-25, 27-25, 25-12, 17-25, 15-13 victory. Bellingham's Jack Davidson (four digs) and Wagner Lorenco each collected eight kills.

    KEEFE TECH 3, Abby Kelley Foster 0: Logan Greenlaw put down 11 kills for the Broncos (10-1, 6-0 Colonial). Keefe Tech's  C.J Sok collected four digs and 11 kills, and Bryan Costa added eight digs and seven kills in the 25-18, 25-14, 25-21 win.

    Boys tennis

    DOVER-SHERBORN 5, Norwood 0; D-S 5, Ashland 0: Max Glick, Dalai Xu, Isaac Lee and Peyton Cypes each went 2-0 in the doubleheader sweep for the raiders (7-0). Harrison DePaola and Alex Johnson won at No. 2 doubles against the Mustangs, while DePaola paired with Yair Elman against the Clockers.

    MARLBORUGH 4, Nashoba 1: Sumair Singh provided a straight-sets win at singles for the Panthers (5-2), beating Carter Neuschafer 6-0, 6-0. Marlborough swept the doubles points in straight sets, too. Keshav Kumar and Simon Valentino beat Alex Dow and Dimitri Klochkov 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1, while Duc-Tri Nguyen and Ethan Kawn prevailed 6-0, 6-0 against Harry Cantin and Miguel Abreu at No. 2. Marlborough No. 2 singles player Manraaj Singh bested Alex Jangro 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.

    Girls tennis

    AMSA 5, Marlborough 0: The Eagles' No. 2 doubles team of Gloria Yen and Kate Allison secured the sweep with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Ally Ryan and Altagracia Toussant. No. 1 doubles team Katina Gakis and Sasha Ghai won 6-3, 7-6 (1) for AMSA (2-6) over Alexis Ott and Lilly Murphy. AMSA's Saisha Kolluri beat Megan Fanelli 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, while Ava Daly prevailed 6-3, 6-2 over Julianna Aristozabel at No. 2. At No. 3 singles, Sameera Patnala closed the match 6-1, 6-1 over Emmaline Bowles of Marlborough (2-4).

    HOLLISTON 3, Medway 2: Freshman Caroline Cosgrove won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles for the Panthers (5-2, 5-2 TVL). Holliston's Nami Raja picked up a win at No. 3 singles, and Ellie Winchenbach and Bridget Doherty helped secure the win with a victory at No. 2 doubles.

    WESTBOROUGH 5, Wachusett 0: Myra Buch and Nicole Nguyen secured the sweep with a 7-6 (7-2), 6-2 win over Chau Quach and Katrina Szarahna at NO. 2 doubles. Westborough's No. 1 doubles team of Elena Chen and Sahasra Kommineni beat Sadie Ceik and Ekaavli Daga 6-1, 6-2. Gina Hajiseyedjavady led the singles charge with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Angie Faiola at No. 1, Diya Bhattacharya bested Sin Zheng 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 and No. 3 Isabel Feldman prevailed 6-1, 6-4 against Gabby deLeon.

    SHREWSBURY 4, Algonquin 1: Titans No. 3 Siya Arde bested Arpan Chhabra 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 singles to earn a point for Algonquin.

    HOPKINTON 5, Millis 0: May Chen anchored the sweep at No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win for the Hillers (4-3) at No. 1 singles.
