Severe weather is over with clearer skies once again back in The Basin as Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips predicts a temperature rollercoaster to not only ensue today, but for this weekend as well. Along with chillier air to start, the atmosphere will be a bit humid, but drying out aloft. Temperatures will then rise well into the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s as winds to start from the east-northeast will switch from the south-southwest by the afternoon, allowing for drier air to start arriving once again. Rain activity will be non-existent today for most north of I-20 with mostly sunny skies, but despite some passing clouds this weekend, most will be rainfree with a huge temperature divide forming with summerlike heat to the south, but damper conditions to the north of I-20.

New Tech Odessa Decathlon team 3rd in the nation
The New Tech Odessa Academic Decathlon team will be recognized at Ector County ISD’s Tuesday school board meeting for their 3rd place finish in the Small School Division of the USAD Online National Competition held in late April.
