West Linn police log: unwanted visitors, Webelos request officer visit, more recent calls to WLPD

3/16/24 8:08 a.m. A caller complained about residents on Oneal Court speeding on side streets in a loud car in the middle of the night.

3/16/24 9:51 a.m. A man said his parents ran over a curb and he wanted more information before going to talk to them.

3/16/24 4:34 p.m. A woman said a solicitor entered her garage when she did not answer the front door.

3/17/24 12:38 a.m. A resident complained about someone on Jolie Point Road playing loud music that kept her up.

3/17/24 9:01 a.m. A caller told police they were a Webelos den leader and wanted an officer to come to their meeting that day to talk about being a first responder.

3/17/24 11:00 a.m. Someone reported that the Pride flag at the West Linn Lutheran Church was stolen overnight.

3/17/24 12:40 p.m. A caller said the door of an abandoned home was propped open.

3/17/24 1:42 p.m. The Webelos leader called again to request an officer speak at a meeting.

3/17/24 8:43 p.m. A woman said her neighbor on Mapleton Drive regularly sped through the neighborhood and told her to “F--- off” when she asked him to slow down.

3/18/24 10:39 a.m. A parks and rec employee reported graffiti in the bathrooms at Marylhurst Heights Park.

3/18/24 11:40 a.m. A woman on Ostman Road told police her neighbors were parked on the street, making it difficult for her to see when she pulled out of the driveway. She added that the same neighbors did not maintain their yard.

3/18/24 1:39 p.m. A caller complained about someone driving a tiny dirt bike on 19th Street.

3/18/24 8:47 p.m. Someone told police that a dog on Oregon City Loop had been barking for 45 minutes.

3/19/24 12:11 p.m. A resident on Nixon Street said a man and woman knocked on his door and told him they were just saying hi to neighbors.

3/19/24 12:51 p.m. A caller said his 14-year-old daughter was reportedly stealing and he wanted her out of the house because she was a bad influence for his other kids.

3/19/24 2:37 p.m. A woman reported her identity was stolen.

3/19/24 3:12 p.m. Someone on Buse Street said that high schoolers sped through the area at 3:10 p.m. every day.

3/19/24 4:23 p.m. A man on Hunter Way said his gas was siphoned overnight.

3/19/24 6:09 p.m. A caller told police about an aggressive poodle on Barrington Drive.

3/19/24 6:31 p.m. A woman reported she had two people staying at her house on Mapleton Drive and her neighbors called her and said the couple claimed to be window washers and were giving false information.

3/20/24 3:57 p.m. A man on Nixon Avenue said law enforcement officials were out on the river the previous weekend looking for someone who possibly drowned. The man wanted to know if the drones in the area were related to the search, because if not he thought they may be related to organized crime.
