The right-hander from Jackson High School has a 9-10 record with three saves. She has a 3.71 earned run average in 26 games with 16 starts. She has four complete games and two shutouts. In 109.1 innings, she has given up 102 hits and 63 runs, 58 earned, with 49 walks and 69 strikeouts.

Gossett is 5-5 in Big Ten Conference games with a shutout. That came in a seven-inning complete game 3-0 victory over Illinois on March 12. Her other shutout came in a 2-0 non-league win over Illinois-Chicago on Feb. 16.

When she isn’t pitching, Gossett has seen some time at first base and as the designated player. She’s hitting .294 (5-for-17) and hit a three-run homer in a 7-6 loss to South Dakota State on Feb. 24.

Purdue is 25-23 overall and tied for sixth in Big Ten with an 11-9 record. The Boilermakers wrap up the regular season with three conference games with Michigan State this weekend at home. Twelve teams will make the conference tournament, which begins Wednesday.

    Madison Reemsnyder (GlenOak)

The sophomore and her Xavier women’s golf team are heading to Las Vegas this weekend for the Division I regionals. The Musketeers earned an automatic bid by winning the Big East Conference Championship for the fifth straight time on April 22. Reemsnyder was fourth on the team, finishing 12th with a 227 total on rounds of 73, 76 and 78. On the season, she is averaging 74.0 in 10 tourneys. As a freshman, she earned All-Big East honors when she finished fourth to help Xavier win the title. She went on to finish 53rd in the 2023 regionals.

    Andrew White (GlenOak)

The Kansas State graduate student won the discus at the KSU Ward Haylett Invitational last Friday. White posted a personal-record toss of 191 feet, 2 inches. He also finished sixth in the hammer (187-4). White currently ranks eighth in the discus and 13th in the hammer on the Big 12 Conference performance list. She was the top finisher for the Zips, who finished seventh out of 10 teams. Hahn posted rounds of 79, 75 and 79 for a 233 total and totaled six birdies. She did a good job in her career at the MAC tourney, placing 16th as a junior, 13th as a sophomore and tied for 12th as a freshman.
