WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Turki Faisal Aljarbou died early Tuesday in a crash at Indiana 26 and Klondike Road, according to Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello.

The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office received the report of the crash about 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, according to police bulletins.

Aljarbou, a 25-year-old from Saudi Arabia, was driving a Dodge pickup southbound on Klondike Road and did not heed at the stop sign at the T-intersection with Indiana 26, according to the sheriff's office. He drove through the intersection, became airborne, struck several trees.

Aljarbou was the only person in the truck and died at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.

Aljarbou was not wearing a seat belt, according to the sheriff's office.

An autopsy is scheduled for later this week, Costello said.
