Ross County – Reports of Counterfeit Money Used at Yard Sales
Ross County – Police are investigating the use of counterfeit money at garage sales over the weekend. According to the Chillicothe police department there were called to Oneida road when a resident claimed that during her yard sale she received a counterfeit bill. She told police that a person gave her the bill for good and it went unnoticed.

Real estate transfers: Massillon, Jackson properties sell for more than $1 million
Two properties in western Stark County sold for more than $1 million, according to the latest real estate transfers filed with the Stark County Auditor's Office. Candida Property LLC purchased a commercial property containing a Pizza Hut at 2400 Lincoln Way E in Massillon from Cot Pizza Re LLC for $1.07 million. A residential property with a more than 4,000-square-foot house on Nobles Pond Drive in Jackson Township sold for $1.1 million.
Jail funding awarded to five counties through state program
In May, Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) Director Annette Chambers-Smith announced recipients of grant funding through Ohio’s Jail Safety and Security Program. Five counties received funding including Jackson County and Adams County. Adams County received $21,611,312 to support the construction of a new jail, according to release from ODRC.
