Former Penn State Hazleton employee sues university, alleges pregnancy discrimination
A Penn State Hazleton employee sued the university on Tuesday for alleged discrimination during and after her pregnancy and wrongful termination. Lauren Millbyer, who was administrative coordinator to the chancellor, was about six months pregnant around May 2022 when she informed the chancellor and staff in her department of her pregnancy as well as pregnancy-related disabilities and restrictions, according to court documents.
Allentown, East Penn school districts dismiss for summer
More students around the region are kicking off their summer vacation. The East Penn School District in Lehigh County wrapped up classes about an hour ago. Students in Allentown were dismissed a little while later. Same for kids in the Quakertown and Hazleton school districts.
