Thomas Palmer becomes Eagle Scout
Thomas Palmer, the son of Chris and Angie Palmer, was inducted into Eagle Court of Honor, May 11. To reach this pinnacle, Thomas accomplished 25 merit badges, eight leadership awards and countless trips with his troop. For his service project, Thomas planned and executed a 104-hour community project that involved 11 Scout and adult volunteers. This improved an underused playground area at Eden Prairie Elementary that was transformed into a space for therapists and teachers to work on strength, ability, counting and alphabet skills. School personnel thanked Thomas for creating this long-desired educational playground space. Thomas and his brother, William, enjoyed visiting their grandparents, Ron and Sharon Palmer, at Agency Bay Lodge and continue to visit Walker every chance they have.

Minnesota murder convict, who went on the run before verdict, sentenced
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The Bloomington man who walked out of court before the verdict could be read in his murder trial over a fatal overdose was finally sentenced on Thursday. Michael Harlan was found guilty in absentia in 2023 in the overdose death of 29-year-old Cole Linnell. Linnell died after Harlan sold him fentanyl pills that police said were sold under the pretense of being Oxycodone.
