Mallek Hosts Crozet Town Hall
Board of Supervisors White Hall District representative Ann Mallek hosted a community town hall and open house at Brownsville Elementary on April 10, flanked by more than a dozen county administration representatives from the Planning, Fire and Rescue, Facilities, and Parks and Rec departments. County Executive Jeff Richardson presented an overview of the Fiscal Year 2025 $438 million budget, noting that vehicle values declined by 10% while real property assessments increased by 4% over last year. The county plans to leave the real property tax rate as it is, at $0.854 per $100 of assessed value, but will raise the personal property rate by 16% to $3.96 per $100 valuation.
