A Illinois councilwoman is poised to formally reprimand her colleague for posting a photo of murdered teen Sade Robinson's severed arm on social media, confidently asserting she has the votes necessary to do so.

Lynn Florian, a Waukegan city 8th Ward Alderwoman, said the motion was filed against her fellow alderman, Keith Turner of the 6th Ward. Lynn is pushing for a referendum on the matter during the next board meeting June 3. The councilwoman blasted her colleague for uploading such a grotesque image, saying she expects better from a political figure. The image posted last week was of Sade's, 19, severed arm.

The teenager disappeared after going on a date with Maxwell Anderson, 33, in the Milwaukee area. The man has been arrested on accusations of brutally murdering and dismembering her.

“I believe it’s incumbent on us to hold ourselves to a higher standard of conduct,” Florian said during a Waukegan City Council meeting Monday night. “I want to distance myself from what happened because I had nothing to do with that and I want nothing to do with what was done.”

Turner seems to have turned a blind eye to the incident as he didn't speak a word of it during the city council meeting and repeatedly dodged questions from reporters.

Mayor Ann Taylor seemed to agree with Florian, saying more people should be livid at Turner for his lack of sensitivity to the family. Mayor Taylor said: “I literally myself almost passed our when I saw that picture, so I can’t even imagine what this poor mother went through.”

“I was outraged, like most people should be,” she added. “All I could think of was this poor family and what they were going through.” A bystander discovered the severed member while walking along the Waukegan Municipal Beach in the 200 block of East Sea Horse Drive May 11.

The individual told police they possibly spotted a severed arm on the ground. Law enforcement officials later found the member lying next to a downed tree trunk at the beach. The Lake County Coroner's office, whose been assisting police with the investigation, also responded to the scene.

According to the city mayor, the councilman didn't check with police or any government officials before wrongfully uploading a photo of the body part on Facebook. Taylor severely scrutinized the councilman over his poor judgement and said the action was “morally disgusting, socially irresponsible, and extremely cruel to the victim’s family.”
